We start with Freee White Bread Flour for a light yet chewy base, blended with xanthan gum and psyllium husk to mimic the structure of traditional dough. Yeast helps the dough rise to pillowy perfection, while caster sugar and long life milk add sweetness and moisture. A touch of coarse salt balances the flavours, and a egg and plain butter give the dough richness.
We then fold in dark chocolate chips, which melt slightly during baking to create gooey pockets of chocolate throughout. Once baked, the doughnuts are soft inside with a tender crumb, and finished with a dusting of icing sugar or a drizzle of chocolate for that extra touch of indulgence.
